There is a good chance if you have done any of the following lately that your computer system may be infected with spyware: if you have downloaded music online, if your computer is running very slowly, perhaps you are been bothered by popup ads even when you’re not surfing on the internet or maybe your internet browsers homepages keeps changing. I had tried the registry repair program RegCure and that had helped some but my computer was still running slower than it should and I was getting some weird bookmarks showing up in my internet browser window. The NoAdware Spyware Removal Program Review:

NoAdware are on version 5 of their software now. When you first install the program a prompt pops up telling you to download the latest spware updates to the program. I recommend you do this just so you can be sure you have the best protection againest the latest spyware and adware problems.

Once the latest spyware database has been downloaded the program opens and you are presented with a simple graphical interface. There are a few options to choose from at this point. You can choose to scan your entire pc in one fell swoop or scan specific files or folders. You can update the software also if you didn’t do it on the initial install.

NoAdware also has an number of other features which are accessed from the options menu including ActiveX shields and Configure Shields but we’ll cover those in m ore detail later in this review.

So I started by clicking the scan now button. The program then preceded to scan my entire system. NoAdware has a fairly slow scan time but some of the depends on how much data you have on your hard drives. The scan time on my 160GB drive was around 5 minutes.

Once the scan has finished you will be prompted to register the program is problems are found. Once you have registered you can remove any problems found. On the scan results screen you are shown any problem entries found, including the name of the spyware or adware found, the location and the danger level: severe, dangerous and not critical. You can choose if you want to delete all problem entrie found or just tick off which entries you would like to delete. Then it’s just a matter of clicking remove items.

If you want to jump further in to pretecting your computer from spyware then NoAdware has a comprehensive options area. You can choose to have Noadware run at startup or scan at Windows startup and automatically check for updates and save a log file you can review later on.

Another option in NoAdware is ActiveX Shields. By setting the ActiveX killbit of a particular item then it prevents it from being installed on your computer. This is a very good preventative measure which stops spyware and adware from even getting on to your computer in the first place. These activex databses are constantly been updated also with new additions so you can be sure you have the latest protection.

Another feature of Noadware is the configure shields section. From here you can choose to protect your IE favourites, prevent IE from been hijacked and having your browser homepage reset and protect your startup programs from spyware or adware infestation. There are all great editions to the normal spyware program and help immensely in protecting your computer from spyware problems.

Also in the options area is the ability to restore any applications accidently marked by Noadware for deletion which is a good safeguard.

The last option is the ability to set NoAdware up to scan on a scheldue. You can select if you want the program scan your system, hourly, daily, weekly or monthly and at a time of your choosing, so your can set it up to scan your system while you’re sleeping the night away.

NoAdware Got rid of my Spyware problems including the browser hijacking I was experiencing and helped speed up my system. I would recommend NoAdware with a few reservations. It’s a good program for simples tasks, such as quickly removing spyware or adware, but if you’re looking for a robust spyware program with more advanced features I would look elsewhere.
